Tsuyuko Kurashige
Tsuyuko Kurashige, 90, of Lihue, Kauai died March 9, 2016, at the Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Huluia, Kauai, she was a retired housekeeper and a member of the Lihue Hongwanji Mission.
Friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. March 18 at the Lihue Hongwanji Mission; memorial service at 10. Casual attire. Family requests no flowers and no koden (monetary gifts).
She is survived by daughters, Linda (Bruce) Sansui of Hilo, Stella (Gerald) Haraguchi of Hilo; sons, Roland (Sue) Kurashige of Honolulu, Stanley (Kaymi) Kurashige of Kapaa; sisters, Mitsuno Mukai of Honolulu, Amy Kubo of Honolulu, Katherine Endo of Northridge, Calif., Nancy (Raymond) Mori of Honolulu; brothers, Henry (Helen) Sasaki of Lihue, Charles (Nancy) Sasaki of Gardena, Calif., James Sasaki of North Hollywood, Calif.; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Kenneth Hughes
Mr. Kenneth “Kenny” Gene Hughes, 64, Kailua-Kona died Jan. 1, 2016, at the Kona Community Hospital. Born in Tulsa, Okla., on Dec. 28, 1951, he was a luxury boat captain.
Celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. March 19 at the Hawaii Big Game Fishing Club at the Honokohau Harbor in Kailua-Kona. Scattering of his ashes will follow. The family requests casual attire and loose flowers are welcome.
He is survived by his wife, Colleen Cushman of Kailua-Kona; daughters, Jennifer Hughes of Kailua-Kona, and Jacqueline Hughes of Honolulu; sisters, Patrice (Dale) Moore of Kailua-Kona, and Pam (Jonnie) Graddy of Mt. Sterling, Ky.; brothers, Tom Hughes of Long Beach, Calif., and Donald (Susan) Hughes of Mr. Sterling, Ky; two grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
